So who are
Jason's Flock? Well.....ever heard of the Pathfinders?, these
guys were a mid-60's Soul group who released just one single,
"I Don't Believe It" / "Castle of Love"
(Parlophone R 5372). After a few years they eventually became
Trash who recorded two singles for Apple:
"Road to Nowhere" / "Illusions" (APPLE 6)
"Golden Slumbers - Carry That Weight" / "Trash
Can" (APPLE 17)
This story has been printed elsewhere and so the story ends,
right? WRONG! Somewhere in the middle of this, the group briefly
changed their name to Jason's Flock before reverting back to the
Pathfinders.
A recent find on ebay of a magazine called "Showbeat
Monthly" carried out a nice feature on the group with the
pictures on this page. Dated August 1967, this magazine was
published just before the group moved to London in search of fame
and fortune. This is also the point when Fraser Watson replaced
Neil McCormick as lead guitarist.
